The founders and Directors of Fleur de Son Classics, Ltd., Joanne Castellani and Michael Andriaccio (international touring and recording artists), David Frost (Grammy Award winning  producer) and David Dusman (award winning engineer) all work closely with our artists from the planning stages right through the recording sessions, to postproduction, design, marketing, distribution and press services.

Mission Statement
Fleur de Son Classics, Ltd., was founded and is owned and operated by concert artists.  Joanne Castellani and Michael Andriaccio felt that artists of international merit needed a record label that was sympathetic to their needs.  In 1996, they established Fleur De Son Classics, Ltd., which today, has a catalog of more than fifty titles by world-class artists. Ms. Castellani is President and Mr. Andriaccio is Director of Artists and Repertoire. They are no strangers to the music world.  The Castellani-Andriaccio Duo, one of the foremost guitar duos in the world today, has performed on four continents and in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls including the White House upon invitation by President Clinton.

In order to compete with the "majors" on every level of quality, Fleur de Son Classics and its newly launched Fleur De Son Jazz label adhere to a policy of presenting repertoire that is rarely or never before recorded.  To-date, two titles have been named "Best of the Year" by American Record Guide, and one "Best of the Year" by Fanfare Magazine. The others have been praised in such leading publications as Gramophone, Fanfare, American Record Guide, the Washington Post, the New Yorker, Soundboard, and in the newspapers of most major American cities. Fleur de Son titles have been in the running for thirty-three Grammy Award nominations and have been featured in broadcasts throughout the world.  "Our or production team, David Dusman, internationally acclaimed sound engineer and David Frost, Grammy Award winning producer, have collaborated with some of the world's greatest soloists and ensembles. Our current distribution is international in scope. QUALITON IMPORTS, Ltd. is our exclusive US distributor while Four Seasons Marketing handles our international markets. Meet our ensemble of recording industry specialists
David Frost

David Frost has produced numerous critically acclaimed recordings, released by many of the major labels, including RCA Red Seal, Sony Classical, London/Decca and Deutsche Grammophon. As a staff producer at BMG Classics (RCA Red Seal) for nearly a decade, he produced recordings of André Previn, Sir Colin Davis, Leonard Slatkin, Alicia de Larrocha, Evgeny Kissin, Rudolf Firkusny, Luciano Berio, The Tokyo String Quartet, and many others. He was producer for Kathleen Battle's Sony Classical release "Grace", and Decca's "Star Crossed Lovers" with Renée Fleming, Placido Domingo and Daniel Barenboim. He has produced operatic tracks for several film soundtracks, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with soprano Renée Fleming, and "The Man Who Cried" with tenor Salvatore Licitra. Other artists he has produced recordings with are Van Cliburn, Dave Brubeck, Barbara Bonney, and Marcelo Alvarez. Recently he has collaborated with acclaimed director, Baz Luhrmann, producing the Broadway Cast Album of Puccini's La Boheme for Dreamworks Records. He is also producer for The Milken Family Foundation, which is creating a 20-volume set of CDs to be an archive of Jewish American music. 

Honors include a Grammy for "Listen to the Storyteller", a Sony Classical recording with music by Wynton Marsalis, Edgar Meyer and Patrick Doyle, and narrated by Kate Winslet and Graham Greene. He was also the producer for Alicia de Larrocha's RCA recording of Granados' Goyescas, which won both a Grammy and the Grand Prix du Disque. Most recently he received a Grammy Award Nomination for Classical Producer of the Year (2002).

David Dusman
Balance Engineer
A more than twenty year veteran of the recording industry, David Dusman's resumé includes staff and or faculty positions at the Eastman School of Music and SUNY Fredonia, as well as founder and president of Dusman Audio, Inc.  He is a classically trained musician who also holds a Bachelor's degree in sound recording. His relentless dedication to quality, as well as an innate musical sense has earned him an excellent reputation among musicians and engineers alike. His company, Dusman Audio Inc., provides professional audio consulting services, state of the art classical recording and post-production services, and mastering services for CD and DVD-A.

Mr. Dusman is equally at home with classical music or jazz. His client list has included: The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, The Society for Chamber Music in Rochester, The New Arts Trio, Rebecca Penneys, Nexus Percussion Ensemble, and The Corigliano Quartet.  Recently Mr. Dusman has completed a world premiere recording with The Israel Chamber Orchestra in Tel-Aviv, featuring the Castellani-Andriaccio Guitar Duo for Fleur De Son Classics. Also, he has engineered and mastered new releases for The New Arts Trio, Rebecca Penneys, and The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of JoAnn Falletta, all in collaboration with Grammy award winning producer David Frost.  Mr. Dusman has worked with numerous jazz artists such as Peter Nero, Jerry Bergonzi, Jeff Tyzik, Bill Dobbins, Gene Bertoncini, Ray Ricker, Marian McPartland, and Harold Danko. His work can be heard on such prestigious record labels as Vox Classics, Albany Records, Fleur De Son Classics, Nexus Records, BMG, Philips, Naxos and Advance Music, as well as on films produced by American Movie Classics, Kino International, and Milestone Film and Video.

Along with his extensive music recording experience, Mr. Dusman has mixed surround sound audio tracks for film for Eastman Kodak, and also mixed and mastered 5.1 surround sound products for DVD-Audio release.
